National overseas scholarship scheme for SC

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is providing financial support to students from SC community to help them in pursuing higher education overseas. The aim is to promote the aspirations of students from SC communities with scholarships for studying abroad.



The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is providing financial support to students from SC community to help them in pursuing higher education overseas. The aim is to promote the aspirations of students from SC communities with scholarships for studying abroad.

Eligibility: Students of various SC communities with minimum 55 per cent marks in bachelor’s degree (for master’s courses) or master’s degree (for PhD courses) may apply for this scholarship. An applicant should not be more than 35 years of age on April 01, 2019 and should not have annual family income above Rs 6 lakh.

Details: Selected scholars will be awarded with annual maintenance stipends of $15,400 or GBP 9,900 for studies in USA and UK, respectively.

Rotary Peace Fellowships

Rotary Foundation, United States is providing this fellowship to applicants wanting to pursue master’s degree programmes and certificate programmes in peace and development-related courses at premier institutions. The Peace fellows will get opportunities to train at Rotary Peace Centres .

Eligibility: Applicants for fellowship with master’s courses must have a bachelor’s degree awarded not more than three years ago, and for Certificate Programmes they must have relevant experience of five years or more for volunteering related activities.

Details: Complete tuition fee waiver and accommodation compensation for the course duration. Fellows will also get airfare and research related expenses along with exclusive training opportunities at Rotary Peace Centres.

Joining Hands Higher Education Scholarship 

NGO Joining Hands, India, is providing financial aid to students from financially underprivileged communities for managing their academic expenses. The scholarship aims to support students for their graduation and postgraduation studies.

Eligibility: Students of Class XII or Class XII passed level (min. 60 per cent  score or above) or graduation degree residing in Delhi, Bengaluru or Pune willing to pursue undergraduate courses or postgraduate courses, respectively at recognised institutions may apply. 

Details: Selected scholars will receive appropriate financial support to cover their tuition fees, books, hostel, conveyance expenses as incurred at the educational institution

UK Business School Progression Scholarship 

Durham University Business School, UK, invites fresh graduate students to pursue post-graduation programmes with scholarships to support students from India who wish to continue their studies in the UK.

Eligibility: Indian students applying for master’s degree courses at Durham University Business School are eligible for this scholarship programme. 

Details: Selected scholars will get 25 per cent tuition fee waiver (up to GBP 6250) per year for the course duration.

Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund and Ministry of Human Resource Development are inviting full-time PhD scholars of India to apply for this scholarship and stand a chance to win monthly stipends for continued research.

Eligibility: Full-time PhD scholars below 35 years of age with more than 60 per cent marks in both graduation and post-graduation qualification may apply for this scholarship. Applicants must be Indian citizens

Details: Selected scholars will be provided with monthly stipend of Rs 18,000 for research along with annual contingency expenditure of ?15,000 for equipment, books and study tours.
