30-yr-old man killed in ‘group clash’ in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, October 15

Banta (30), resident of Muslim Colony, died after sustaining grievous injuries in a ‘group clash’ in Transport Nagar. In this regard, Sanjay, younger brother of the deceased, filed a complaint with the police saying his brother had gone for some work with his friend Neeraj on his motorcycle in the evening on October 8. “When Neeraj dropped him back at home late in the night, Banta was seriously injured. He told us that they have had a clash with three unidentified persons,” said the complainant, adding that his brother, who was admitted to CMC Hospital for treatment, succumbed on Wednesday.

The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC against unknown persons. — OC
