Assault, loot cracked; 5 held

LUDHIANA:With the arrest of five persons, the Jagraon police have claimed of cracking the loot and assault case took place in the first week of July.

Ludhiana, July 17

With the arrest of five persons, the Jagraon police have claimed of cracking the loot and assault case took place in the first week of July. Those arrested have been identified as Sukhmander Singh, alias Goli of Pandori village, near Jagraon; Pinder Kumar, alias Pinda; Baljit Singh, alias Mota; Rajvir, alias Bunty, (all residents of Lohara village in Moga district) and Sandeep Singh, alias Khosa of Moga.

SSP Jagraon Varinder Singh Brar said some unidentified persons had executed the loot incident after attacking a migrant family at a fish farm in Pandori village on the intervening night of July 6 and 7. The accused had also looted some cash and other valuables from the house of migrant family.

According to police, during the preliminary questioning the accused have confessed their crime. Now the police have been trying to find out other crimes committed by the accused.
