Clear Buddha Nullah banks of waste: Mayor



Ludhiana, July 10

In view of the arrival of rainy season, Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu, Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal and other officials inspected the ongoing cleaning work at Buddha Nullah and a drain in Dhoka Mohalla on Saturday.

After desilting the Buddha Nullah, heaps of removed waste were collected on the banks of the nullah. The Mayor directed the officials to get the waste removed.

It is learned that the waste is still being dumped in the drains. Superintending Engineer Rajinder Singh said the department would take action against those found dumping waste in the drains. — TNS
