Ludhiana, May 24

The Lok Insaaf Party, chief, Simarjeet Singh Bains and his brother Balwinder Singh Bains today thanked voters for supporting them in the 2019 General Election.

“We have not lost, but the government machinery was misused to ensure Ravneet Singh Bittu wins the polls,” the duo said. Simarjeet said he got one lakh more votes as compared to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. It is pertinent to mention that in 2104, Bains had polled 2.10 lakh votes, while he got 3.07 lakh votes in the 2019 General Election.

Simarjeet said they had got highest number of votes in four-assembly segments, including Gill, Dakha, Atam Nagar and Ludhiana (South). He said they would open an office in Dakha and would be available atleast once a week.

He accused the Ludhiana DCfor favouring Bittu during the polls. However, the DC had earlier denied the allegations.

He further alleged that officials of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs were working as the Congress agents.
