Environment Day celebrated

Swami Dayanand Eco Club celebrated ‘Van Mahotsava’ at RS Model Senior Secondary School.



Swami Dayanand Eco Club celebrated ‘Van Mahotsava’ at RS Model Senior Secondary School. The event commenced with plantation ceremony. Eco club in charge Meenakshi Mohindra, along with students, members of club planted 75 saplings at the school premises and at Arya Kanya Gurukul.

Planet E School

Students of Planet E Senior Secondary School celebrated Environmental Week with great enthusiasm. Students participated in various kinds of activities, including drawing competition, painting, poster making, poetry recitation etc. Students also planted saplings and spread a message ‘Each One Plant One’. School principal Suman Arora encouraged students to plant more trees to save planet Earth.

Spell Bee contest held

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised an inter-class Spell Bee competition for students of KG to Class V. An orientation programme was conducted by mentors and the event turned out to be a fun –filled contest and learning experience for students.

Educational tour to NASA

MGM Public School, Dugri, organised a 10-day educational tour for students to NASA during summer vacation. Students met American scientist Sam Durrance. It turned out to be an ultimate experience for students who experienced real-world application of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through simulators.

NCC organises rally

NCC cadets of Tagore Public School organised a rally under a supervision of Col Harmanjit Singh 3M. Students marched in the Aggar Nagar with banners. Around 50 students from different classes participated in the event.

Student shines

Arushi Saxena, Class VII student of Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative Public School won a trophy in an International Dance Congress. Principal Gauri Chhabra felicitated the winner and wished her luck in future endeavours.

Session held on aviation sector

To enlighten students about aviation industry, a session was held with Captain Sonica Chhabra and Captain Manpreet Kaur Ahluwalia at Sat Paul Mittal School. Students were apprised of nuances of flying an aeroplane and about choosing a career in aviation sector.

Students shine

Indian team comprising of 15 members, including three students from DAV BRS Nagar, Ludhiana, Jaipal Singh, Vanshul Gupta and Amaninder Singh clinched second position at Asia Pacific Zone Baseball Championship which was held at Okinawa, Japan, from June 25 to 29.

Malala Day celebrated

A special assembly was conducted at DCM Presidency School by Class III students to salute audacity of Malala. The day is celebrated to educate masses and inspire them to raise their voice against injustice done to them. Students narrated inspiring incidents from the life of Malala and tried to motivate everyone to be brave enough to put forward their views.
