Ludhiana: The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ludhiana, has been given the ‘best branch of Punjab state for 2020’ award at the recently concluded Punjab IMA conference (PIMACON) in Jalandhar. The IMA Ludhiana team 2020 was headed by Dr Sunil Katyal as president, Dr Dheeraj Aggarwal, general secretary, Dr Gaurav Sachdeva, senior vice-president, Dr Bimal Kanish, vice-president, Dr Bhupinder Singh, finance secretary, and Dr Ashish Ohri as joint secretary. Dr Sunil Katyal thanked the state IMA for acknowledging the efforts of the IMA, Ludhiana, during the pandemic and said it was a matter of pride for the whole team and members of the city unit of the Indian Medical Association. Appreciating the award, Dr Dheeraj Aggarwal, honorary secretary, said the Ludhiana chapter of the Indian Medical Associationworked hard during the pandemic and helped society and the district administration in all possible ways. Dr Manoj K Sobti, former state president and member, Punjab Medical Council, also lauded its efforts. TNS
