LUDHIANA: The Finishing School of SCD Government College organised a marketing fest on the campus under the guidance of co- ordinator Dr Reetinder Joshi.

The Finishing School of SCD Government College organised a marketing fest on the campus under the guidance of co- ordinator Dr Reetinder Joshi.

Students of all streams participated by putting up stalls. Around 60 stalls were put up to showcase marketing and entrepreneurial skills of students, the profits of which were collected by students themselves.

Sanjay Goyal of Lakme Beauty Salons was the chief guest. He thanked Principal Dharam Singh Sandhu and Reetinder Joshi for providing an opportunity to students to learn about marketing and retailing. He wished students good luck and said marketing was undergoing a big revolution in the world and in the current scenario, it was a part of every business curriculum.

Rajinder Singla, AGM SBI, also graced the event as the guest of honour. Satish Sharma, president, DAV Colleges managing committee, also encouraged students. The fest witnessed a footfall of 2,691 visitors who took entry with ticket. In addition, all teachers and guests also registered their presence throughout the fest.

The event was organised by the 300 students enrolled in the Finishing School. Stalls included an array of games, snacks, chocolates, customised pens, bags and accessories, make-up and cosmetics and real flowering plants. Special feature of the fest was a stall put up by Ek Noor Sewa Kendra, where they collected donated articles of clothing that visitors brought. A stall on career counselling by TIME, for competetive examinations also guided students. Main attractions included the food and games stalls .
