Nat’l Sports Day celebrated

Ludhiana: National Sports Day was observed at Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School, Doraha, to mark the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.

Ludhiana: National Sports Day was observed at Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School, Doraha, to mark the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. Schoolchildren highlighted the incredible achievements of Dhyanchand through slogans and banners. All students marched past through the main market to make people aware about the importance of sports in life. A friendly inter-house hockey match was organised.

Students visit old age home

Students of DCM Presidency School spent time with the elderly during their visit to Swami Vivekananda Old Age Home. They also took part in a meditation session with the elderly.

School bags award

Manav Rachna International School won Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar. The awards have been bagged in two subcategories, which were; drinking water facility and hand washing with soap. Dr Rupali Saini, Principal MRIS, received the prestigious award. — TNS
