Sikh youth conference dwells on teachings of Guru Nanak

LUDHIANA: The Alliance of Sikh Organisations, in association with Ramgarhia Educational Council, Ludhiana, organised an international Sikh youth conference at Ramgarhia Girls College to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

The Alliance of Sikh Organisations, in association with Ramgarhia Educational Council, Ludhiana, organised an international Sikh youth conference at Ramgarhia Girls College to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Eminent representatives of Sikhism, namely Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, first Sikh MP, the United Kindom (UK); Rajwant Singh, president, Eco Sikh, the US; Kartar Singh, first Sikh lead Chaplain, the UK; Mandeep Kaur, Sikh Chaplain to the British Armed Forces, UK; Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke, research scholar; and Karanvir Singh, global entrepreneur, came to attend and address the conference.

Principal Inderjit Kaur and Ranjodh Singh, president, Ramgarhia Educational Council, welcomed the guests. The conference was conducted with the aim to inspire and attach youth to their rich heritage. The scope of Sikh existence on global platform was also a part of the discourse. Inderjit Kaur said the celebration of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev would be completed in its truest sense if we all pledged to implement the teachings of the first Guru in their lives and motivates the young generation to feel inspired towards the legacy of the Sikh Gurus.
