Ludhiana, June 20
Special Task Force of the Ludhiana police today nabbed three drug smugglers and recoverd heroin from their possession in two cases.
The STF nabbed Ajay Kumar, alias Kaku, of Govind Nagar, and recovered 352 gram of heroin from his possession. The AIG of STF, Snehdeep Sharma, said Kaku’s name had cropped up during the questioning of his accomplices, namely Kewal Krishan and Harjit Singh, from whom the STF had recovered 1.28 kg of heroin in January this year. Acting on a tip-off today, the police nabbed Kaku from the Model Town area.
In the other case, the STF nabbed Raj Kumar Raju of Vijay Nagar and Sumit Kumar of New Kuldeep Nagar with 615 gram of heroin. Both were nabbed from Vijay Nagar. They are already facing cases of heroin smuggling.
