Vehicle dealers can pay cow cess online

LUDHIANA: The Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana has introduced an online facility to vehicle dealers for submission of cow cess.

The Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana has introduced an online facility to vehicle dealers for submission of cow cess.

Senior Veterinary Officer Dr YP Singh said MC Commissioner KP Brar had taken the initiative to start the online facility.

MC collects cow cess from the dealers for selling new two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The cess is Rs 200 per two-wheeler and Rs 1,000 per four-wheeler, Dr YP Singh said.

Joint Commissioner Kulpreet Singh said, “On the pop-up page of citizen services, click on cow cess online payment system. The dealers have to register one time. After login, they have to click on the task and the cow cess form will appear there. After filling the necessary details, they can pay the cess using net banking or any other available online payment mode.” — TNS
