Congress backs Army action, but questions video release

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Tuesday backed the Indian Army action on Pakistani posts across the LoC but questioned the releasing of a video of the operation.

The Congress on Tuesday backed the Indian Army action on Pakistani posts across the LoC but questioned the releasing of a video of the operation.

Congress leader and national spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi tweeted that he appreciated Army's straightforward, firm and bold actions across the LoC but questioned the visual publicity of covert ops.

“Punitive cross border actions not first nor last. public airing of video a first. Am not critical bt not sure its wise 2visualise covert ops,” Singhvi tweeted.

Another Congress leader Randeep Surjewala also took to Twitter to praise Indian Army’s action and saluted the valour of jawans.
