New Delhi, August 2

The Congress today announced nationwide agitation against price rise on August 5. A meeting of party leaders was held to chalk out the plan today. Congress MPs are likely to march to Rashtrapati Bhavan and other leaders may gherao the PM residence.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged the government was “wearing blindfolds of arrogance and could therefore not see inflation trends.” “Yesterday when the discussion on price rise did take place, the government clearly said ‘there is no problem like inflation’. The country is battling an epidemic of unemployment, crores of families are left with no means of stable income,” he said.
