Containment zone residents in Patiala to get essentials

Residents of Top Khana Mor, Dhiru Ki Majri and Anand Nagar, containment zones, will now get access to basic amenities with the help of area councillors.

MC officials said the councillors would help provide medicines, ration and other necessary items to the residents of these areas.

Residents of Top Khana Mor staged a protest yesterday after which the MC decided to provide them required services through area councillors. The residents said shops in their areas were closed after some people were found infected.

MC officials said, “The problems of the residents will be catered through lists on WhatsApp. They will be given ration at the entry of containment zones by ensuring social distancing.” — TNS
