Juvenile among three arrested for murder

Fatehgarh Sahib, January 31

Sirhind Railway Police have arrested three persons including a juvenile, for allegedly murdering two persons and throwing their bodies on the railway track. Two other accomplices are at large.

Addressing mediapersons, Incharge of GRP Sirhind Ratan Lal said on January 8, the railway police recovered the bodies of two persons on the Mohali-Kharar railway line. The deceased were identified as Rajkamal and Manish, residents of UP, currently living in Jagatpura in Mohali district. He said that marks of sharp weapons were found on both bodies, and traces of blood were found on the railway lines and on the road near the lines.

He added that the Sohana police arrested Sukhdev Kumar (under the Arms Act), who disclosed that he had murdered Rajkamal and Manish along with his accomplices (Ami, Shiva, Sahil, and Akshay), adding that he took the bodies in a car and threw them on the railway lines.

Ratan Lal said that Manish and Rajkamal had a fight with the suspects a few days ago; hence, both of them were murdered with sharp weapons in Jagatpura village as an act of revenge. He said that Ami and a juvenile would be produced in court, while two other suspects, Sahil and Akshay, are absconding.
