Patiala, November 18

The traffic congestion owing to a chaotic parking at Government Rajindra Hospital is set to ease with the new multi-level parking facility there.

The final work of the parking building is already over and the facility will be open for use in the coming days.

The hospital authorities said the parking building has been built at the cost of Rs 12.21 crore and has five parking floors. Besides, cars can be parked on the rooftop as well, with a parking provision for around 310 cars.

Dr Harjinder Singh, director principal, Government Medical College and Rajindra Hospital, said the parking facility would also have washrooms on the ground floor along with two elevators. He added that CCTV cameras had also been installed at the facility.
