A week-long camp by the NSS wing of Khalsa College here started today.
Principal Dharminder Singh Ubha, while inaugurating the camp, highlighted the importance of the National Service Yojana camps as these played a big role in creating a sense of patriotism and in building a good character of students. He also emphasised the need to inculcate social and moral values in the students.
College NSS programme officer Dr Sapna, Dr Jagtar Singh and Dr Rajbinder Singh said during the camp, efforts would be made to encourage the spirit of manual work among the students and at the same time, they would take steps in the direction of creating a sense of responsibility towards building a good society by making the youth aware of the challenges faced by humanity.
