Akal Takht officiating Jathedar Giani Hapreet Singh attending a three-day event organised to mark the ‘Jyoti Jot’ diwas of Guru Nanak at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur in Pakistan can be termed as an ‘indirect endorsement’ of the original Nanakshahi calendar.

Giani Harpreet Singh, his family members and a raagi jatha crossed over to Pakistan to attend the event as per the “amended” version of the calendar, through Attari-Wagah joint check post. The same event will be observed on October 1 by the SGPC. — TNS
