Cops suspended for ‘misbehaving’ with woman constable

Muktsar, July 18

The SSP, Muktsar, has suspended a head constable and a constable posted at the Lambi police station for allegedly misbehaving with a woman constable also posted there. Head constable Ram Swaroop was working as a ‘munshi’ (clerk) and constable Harginder Singh as an assistant munshi.

Manjit Singh Dhesi, SSP, Muktsar, said, “A woman constable had complained that the duo misbehaved with her. The SP, Malout, inquired into the matter and gave me his report. Acting on it, I have suspended both of them.” — TNS
