Punjab Govt scuttling probes against singer Sidhu Moosewala: Opposition

Sangrur, December 3

The Opposition has again accused the government of scuttling probes in the two 2020 cases registered against singer Sidhu Moosewala under the Arms Act in Sangrur and Barnala. The police have yet to file chargesheets.

Leader of Opposition and Dirba AAP legislator Harpal Singh Cheema alleged the Congress government had “struck a deal” with Moosewala to “hush up” the cases.

“Since the Congress government has lost ground in Punjab, it’s trying to lure youngsters. The authorities have been delaying the investigations in both cases as the Congress government has struck a deal with Moosewala,” said Cheema. — TNS
