Kolianwali’s bail petition rejected in assets case

MOHALI: A special court rejected the bail plea of SAD leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali after it was opposed by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau here on Friday.

Mohali, March 15

A special court rejected the bail plea of SAD leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali after it was opposed by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau here on Friday.

Additional Sessions Judge of the Special Judge Court for the Prevention of Corruption Act cases rejected the bail plea of Kolianwali.

Dyal Singh Kolianwali, a close aide of former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal, is accused of amassing wealth disproportionate to his income during the SAD regime in 2007-2017. Earlier, the court had granted him default bail on technical grounds since the Vigilance Bureau had failed to file the challan in the disproportionate assets case against him within 60 days. — TNS
