Local Bodies Minister Brahm Mohindra has been hospitalised following serious post viral infection complications. He is admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He was earlier taken to Government Hospital, Sector 16.

In a statement, Fortis said Mohindra was admitted to the emergency department with sudden onset of pain on the right side of his chest due to coughing. A CT angiogram revealed a rupture in one of his arteries. The vascular surgery team took him up for a procedure to plug the blood flow, which was successful. The minister is clinically stable and recovering. He will be under observation for a few more days. — TNS
