New Delhi, January 31

Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Parminderpal Singh, ex-media adviser to ex-DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK, yesterday filed a police complaint against ex-general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa levelling allegation for defaming her husband through a show-cause notice on the basis of “unexplained and unreasonable” evidence of corruption.

The complaint said, “My husband was honorary media adviser in the DSGMC. He has rendered his expertise for the last six years without taking any penny. But from December 22, 2018, due to internal power politics between Sirsa and Manjit Singh, Sirsaji is continuously trying to defame my husband.” Though Sirsa refused to comment, one of his office staff said the complaint was lodged after Parminder was questioned for giving Rs 60 lakh to a TV channel for publicity during his tenure as the media adviser. — TNS
