Power utility implements Cabinet decision on free electricity

Patiala: The Power utility has decided to implement the recent Cabinet decision that all SC, non-SC, BPL and BC category consumers (except income tax payee consumers), having domestic category connection with sanctioned load up to 1 KW are entitled to avail themselves of electricity concession of 200 units per month free even if their annual consumption exceeds 3,000 units, this was disclosed by Gurpreet Singh Kangar Power Minister Punjab in a press note here on Friday.
