Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi announced 11 per cent increase in employees' Dearness Allowance for state government employees.

Channi, who addressed a press conference on Monday evening, said Rs 440 crore has been earmarked for release every month to pay DA.

He said 11 per cent of the total 14 per cent DA will be released in installments.
