Deputy Chief Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni today ordered a special girdawari to ascertain the damage to cotton crops after an attack of pink bollworm while presiding over a meeting with the top brass of the Agriculture and Cooperation Department on the directions of the Chief Minister. The meeting saw comprehensive discussions on the issue of shortage of DAP and urea supply. It was decided the matter should be taken up with the Department of Fertilisers, Government of India. — TNS
