Snatchers target tourist in Amritsar

AMRITSAR:Miscreants targeted a woman tourist and snatched her bag containing Rs 12,000 and a mobile phone here.

Miscreants targeted a woman tourist and snatched her bag containing Rs 12,000 and a mobile phone here. The victim, identified as Priyanka of Chandigarh, was here to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple with her family. 

In her complaint, she said she stayed in a hotel near Sheran Wala Gate. Priyanka said when she was collecting her luggage from the car, two persons snatched her purse containing an iPhone, credit card, driving licence, Aadhaar card and Rs 12,000 and fled. ASI Avtar Singh said, “A case under Sections 379-B and 34 of the IPC has been registered.”
