Two persons were killed in separate road mishaps on Saturday
In the first mishap, a man was killed and the other injured on the Tarn Taran road here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Padam Bahadur. His brother Dev Bahadur told the police that Padam was crossing the road when a rashly driven bike hit him.
Harpreet Singh of Kot Mit Singh, Tarn Taran, who was driving the bike, also sustained injuries. Both of them were taken to Sri Guru Ram Dass Hospital where Padam succumbed to the injuries.
A case under Sections 304-A and 279 of the IPC has been registered against Harpreet Singh.
In the second mishap, Sukha Singh (45) of Beguwal village was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on Saturday.
Rajbir Singh, a relative of the deceased, said around 8 pm on Saturday, an unidentified vehicle hit his uncle on the main GT Road when he was returning home. A case under Sections 304-A and 279 of the IPC has been against an unidentified person.
