Session on key to success organised

Bhavan’s SL Public School organised an inspirational two-day workshop on the topic ‘Even Mindedness : Key to Success’ in the school’s campus.

Pujya Brahamchari Tarak Chaitanya, Acharaya, Chinmaya Mission, witnessed the event. Chairman Avinash Mohindru on behalf of Bhavan’s management members, Chinmaya Trust and Chinmaya Yuva Kendra greeted Swamiji with all the reverence and introduced him on the school’s campus.

Sampujya Swami Mitrananda began his lecture with insightful stories and by and by introduced his topic. He elaborated the concept of success and popularity and advised never to equate them. He said human beings were some total of their thoughts and stressed on to generate positive thoughts to stay happy. — OC

Seminar against superstitions

Amritsar: Experts put up scientific reasons to dispel believe in unscientific methods like horoscope, palmistry and zodiac signs during a seminar organised by the Tarksheel Society, Punjab, affiliated to the Federation of Indian Rationalist Association.

Addressing the participants, Surjit Daudhar of the society said, “There is no scientific base for the predictions of jyotish, palmistry and zodiac signs.” He said after studying and learning the jyotish, he did not find any authentic procedure to predict. So, he challenged its practitioners to prove its worth.

Another speaker Dr Harbhajan Bhatia said impoverished economic condition and spiritualism were prime reasons of turning people to jyotish. He said people should stay away from unscientific process.— TNS
