DU to introduce skill-based courses

Delhi University and National Skill Development Corporation have entered into an agreement for providing education which leads to employment in undergraduate courses. 
Integrating skill with education, the varsity would introduce skill-based courses in its undergraduate and other programmes. 
Seventy per cent of the students enrolled will be provided either job placements by the NSDC or it will help them become entrepreneurs. 
These courses shall be made available as add-on short-term courses/ compulsory courses/ long-term courses. 
 The objective of the MoU is to improve the employment potential of students with systematic training, certificates of competency and placement assistance. 
It will help students acquire special skills for jobs and entrepreneurships surrounding the courses at undergraduate level. 
The training shall be in the sectors of banking and financial services and insurance, IT, health care, media and entertainment, tourism and hospitality and automobile industry.
