Kiddies Pandora

LUDHIANA: Kiddies Pandora – A Memorable Moment was organised by the nursery department of Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana, wherein a multitude of acts and dances were performed by the tiny tots of LKG. Principal Dr Anu Verma emphasised on the role of parents in the lives of children, importance of child psychology and the ill-effects of technology.

Ludhiana: Kiddies Pandora – A Memorable Moment was organised by the nursery department of Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana, wherein a multitude of acts and dances were performed by the tiny tots of LKG. Principal Dr Anu Verma emphasised on the role of parents in the lives of children, importance of child psychology and the ill-effects of technology. She said parents should spend quality time with kids to give them a happy childhood and keep them away for mobiles. 

Grandparents’ Day

Atam Devki Niketan, Kidwai Nagar, Ludhiana, celebrated Grandparents Day to honour grandparents. Amrit Lal Jain, Ex senior vice president SS Jain Girls School Committee, Ludhiana, was the chief guest. The grandparents were welcomed with attractive and colourful cards made by their grandchildren. The special day was filled with bhajans, poems, storytelling, dance and song performances by kids and grandparents. Many power packed dance performances by students left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerised. The icing on the cake was the fashion show and mono act performed by students and their grandparents. Grandparents also shared some moments and relived their childhood.

Activity day at Tagore Public School

Activity day was held at Tagore Public School, where different activities were organised for students from Class VI to XI. An extempore competition was organised at the house level. Two students from each house participated. The topics were wide ranging. Participants put forth their ideas to be judged on different parameters. Principal Manju Kansal congratulated the winners. 

Haryanvi culture recreated on stage

Students and teachers of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, had vivid glimpses of Haryanvi culture through the school stage with the programme titled ‘Virasat-e-Sangam’, Haryana, where Padam Bhushan Dr SS Johl, Vice-Chairman of LMC and CA Ravi Kant Gupta were the chief guest and the guest of honour, respectively. The cultural bonanza began with the soulful folk song followed by ‘Dhamaal’, a dance performance by boys. The story of women empowerment through choreography gave a glimpse of changing India and conveyed the message that woman is no less than her counterpart. Principal JK Sidhu lauded the efforts of students and teachers and stressed on the need to blend into one India for development of all. 

KVM hosts declamation contest

Kundan Vidya Mandir School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised an inter-school declamation contest in memory of two former Kundanites Reena and Simmi. It was presided over by Dr Sheeba Takkar, associate professor, cardiology department, DMC. There were 40 participants, 20 for English and 20 for Hindi. The orators expressed their views on thought provoking topics. Diva Gill of KVM and Jasleen Kaur Greenland School, Jalandhar Bypass, came first in English and Hindi, respectively, whereas Jasmine Kaur from Green Land Convent, Basant Enclave and Shaffai Arora of BCM School came second in English and Hindi, respectively .

Singing competition

Green Knights won a consolation Prize in Ved Prachar group song competition organised by Ved Prachar Mandal, Ludhiana, at BCM School, Sector-32. Students of Green Land Convent School, Civil City, also got a standing ovation. Principal Ritu congratulated the students at the achievement and wished them success for future. TNS
