Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Monday that all Delhi Government schools in the violence-hit northeast Delhi would be shut on Tuesday.

Sisodia also said he had spoken to HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal urging him to postpone the ongoing CBSE board exams for Classes 10 and 12 for schools and students in the affected area of northeast Delhi.

In response, the CBSE said there was no scheduled exam in northeast Delhi on Tuesday.

CBSE PRO Rama Sharma said: “As per schedule there are exams only for Class 12 in four vocational subjects in 18 centers in the western part of Delhi tomorrow. There are no centers in the northeast part of Delhi for exams scheduled tomorrow”. The CBSE said on Twitter: “Exams tomorrow only in western Delhi at 18 centres. No change in CBSE exams scheduled for tomorrow as there are no centres in rest of Delhi”.
