AMRITSAR: A day after the elections to various posts of the Punjab Youth Congress and the District Youth Congress, the advertisement wing of the MC removed hundreds of flex boards from city roads and chowks here today.

A day after the elections to various posts of the Punjab Youth Congress and the District Youth Congress, the advertisement wing of the MC removed hundreds of flex boards from city roads and chowks here today.

The contestants had defaced a large number of walls and poles with illegal hoardings. With the completion of election process, the advertisement wing of the MC became active and removed the hoardings from various posh areas of the city.

Separate teams of the advertisement wing led by Arun Kumar, Sucha Singh and Sham Singh removed the hoardings from Hall Gate, Circuit House , Kacheri Chowk, Ranjit Avenue, Green Avenue, Income Tax Chowk, Novelty Chowk, Lawarance Road , Jamnuan Wali Gali and Majitha Road. The teams worked despite being a holiday.

However, after the victory of Aditya Dutti, son of Amritsar North MLA, a large number of hoardings of greetings to Aditya again defaced the chowks in North constituency.
