Takht Patna Sahib Jathedar pays visit to Golden Temple

AMRITSAR: On his maiden visit to Golden Temple after being appointed Takht Patna Sahib jathedar, Giani Ranjit Singh on Sunday said he would make whole-hearted efforts to celebrate 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev.

On his maiden visit to Golden Temple after being appointed Takht Patna Sahib jathedar, Giani Ranjit Singh on Sunday said he would make whole-hearted efforts to celebrate 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev.

Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said Giani Ranjit Singh was a well-wisher of the Sikh community and had deep understanding of Sikh matters.

SGPC chief Gobind Singh Longowal, who was also present on the occasion, said Patna Sahib being the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, held a special place of reverence among the community.

A noted ‘kathavachak’ (preacher), Giani Ranjit Singh commands honours for his in-depth knowledge of gurmat and gurbani.
