The property tax wing of Municipal Corporation Amritsar (MCA) sealed 22 more commercial properties in the city here on Tuesday. Out of these 16 property owners paid tax on the spot and MC staff opened their seals. However, six property owners are yet to pay the pending tax.
Today, MCA staff collected Rs 20 lakh from these properties and the total collection figure crossed Rs 20.1 crore with this. Yesterday, the MC had sealed 20 commercial buildings, including a bar, fitness gym and prominent café at Ranjit Avenue. Today mobile towers and tyre shops in the Jahajgarh area are sealed. — TNS
