Top seed Anhad Singh overcame Manpreet Singh in an intense final qualifying round match to seal a place in the boys’ U-14 main draw in the Roots-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) National Ranking Championship at Zirakpur today. Anhad won 6-1 4-6 (10-6).

Second seed Anuj Pal downed Sehajpreet Singh 6-3 6-1 to move into the main draw. Sukhpreet Singh registered a 6-4 7-6(6) won over Hridhay, while Gurbaaz Singh drubbed Vansh Sharma 6-0 6-2.

Jashandeep Singh downed Harveer Singh 6-4 6-3, while Aditya Bhatnagar edged out Tanishq Jood 6-2 6-4 in the last round of the qualifiers. Shaurya Jishtu prevailed 7-6(4) 6-0 over Akshit Ratti and Samarpit Bhatia trounced Kirtarth Singh 6-2 6-2. — TNS
