AMRITSAR: The local unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA) was honoured with the best branch award by national award committee of the IMA during the conference held in Bengaluru recently.

The local unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA) was honoured with the best branch award by national award committee of the IMA during the conference held in Bengaluru recently.

Dr Ashok Uppal, president, IMA, Amritsar, who received the award said they were honoured for taking initiative to start free OPD services for poor patients at the IMA hall and for various other acts.

Notably, the IMA is providing free OPD services with many well known specialists from the city at the IMA hall here for the last many months. The chapter had also organised many events to improve doctor-patient relations.
