Assault victim booked

AMRITSAR: The Sadar police have registered a cross-case against the complainant who had accused a family, including three woman, of assault.



Amritsar, February 16

The Sadar police have registered a cross-case against the complainant who had accused a family, including three woman, of assault.

Earlier, the police had booked four persons, including Dimple Khanna, her brother Ashu Khanna and Veena Khanna, all residents of Tagore Avenue on Majitha road. The family of Naresh Dhawan, accused’s neighbour, had accused them of brutally assaulting them. Dhawan had sustained a head injury.

Three days after the registration of the case, the police have now registered a cross case against Naresh Dhawan, his brother Rajesh Dhawan, Deepak Dhawan, Heema Dhawan and Ritu Dhawan. They were booked under Sections 354-C, 323, 341 and 506 of the IPC. The police said the case was registered on the complaint of the victim and further investigation was on. — TNS
