GND varsity inks pact with World Cancer Care Society

AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the World Cancer Care (WCC) Society to provide multidisciplinary training and research to its students and faculty.

Guru Nanak Dev University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the World Cancer Care (WCC) Society to provide multidisciplinary training and research to its students and faculty.

A meeting was held at the university campus between Vice-Chancellor Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Manjit Singh Nijjer, Vice President Alumni Council, Dr Preet Mahinder Bedi, alliance co-ordinator, Dr Simarpreet Virk Sandhu, director, World Cancer Care, UK and India, and Dr Jagpreet Singh Sandhu on the issue.

The MoU shall be focused to conduct research and awareness on cancer problem in Punjab. In this meeting, promotion of Punjabi language at International level and details of golfing and shooting sports at the campus were also discussed.

Jaspal Singh Sandhu said, “The university is pleased to collaborate with WCC for research on cancer and full support will be extended for this noble cause.”
