GNDU begins with counselling for science and technology courses

AMRITSAR: The Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) on Monday began with their counselling for science and technology courses in the university campus. The counselling shall conclude on July 12.

The Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) on Monday began with their counselling for science and technology courses in the university campus. The counselling shall conclude on July 12.

The first day of the counselling saw a number of students choosing the science courses over the technology ones. Counselling was held for first 400 students who qualified the common admission test. A total of 1800 students had appeared in the CET.

The counselling was held for B Pharmacy, B.Sc. (Honours School) in Physics, Chemistry, Human Genetics, B.Sc. (Honours) Botany, Mathematics, B.Sc. (Medical Lab. Technology)/M.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology (FYIC)/ B.Tech (Textile Processing Technology)/ B.Tech (Computer Engineering)/ B.Tech. (Computer Communication Engineering).

A number of students along with their parents were seen reaching at the university campus.

Joginder Singh, from Haryana, was accompanied by his daughter Lovedeep for the admission.

Lovedeep Kaur, who was keen on taking admission in B.SC honours, feels that it is the academic reputation of the institute which made her choose it.

“I researched about the course as well as the institute before making my decision,” she said.

Upasana, a mother of the student, was satisfied with the arrangement.

“The arrangements are fine. We are just waiting for our turn. The university had made elaborate arrangement for the same with seating and help desk for parents and students.”
