Amritsar, September 21

A local NGO, Voice of Amritsar, has come up with an initiative towards ensuring the safety of schoolchildren. Its members are distributing questionnaires to 20 prominent schools in the city. The questionnaire includes 60 comprehensive questions on safety measures taken by schools for security and sanitation of a child.

The NGO plans to release the answers on their Facebook page once they receive it from schools. “We will be informing the local administrative as well as the police authorities if major flaws are found. The aim is to ensure a safe environment for students in the city,” said Seenu Arora, president of the NGO.
