Bathinda, March 12

SSD Balgopal Playway School celebrated its annual day on its school campus on Sunday evening. Rajinder Mittal, CMD, BCL Industries, was the chief guest and CA Parmod Mittal, president, SSD Sabha, was the guest of honour on the occasion.

The function was started by the lighting of the lamp by the guests. Then Ganesh Vandna was performed by the students. Later, a two-minute silence was also observed to pay homage to the 44 soldiers who died in the Pulwama attack recently.

Tiny tots danced to the tunes of various songs. Each child of the school participated in the annual day function and enthralled the audience with their performance.

Kids, dressed in colourful attires, participated in various performances and cultural items, which included welcome song, teddy dance, Taare Zameen Par show, western Punjabi dance, Gujarati dance, Punjabi folk dance, etc. Various items were also choreographed delivering a message on social issues in society.

Addressing the audience, Rajinder Mittal congratulated the school management, staff and students for the splendid performances by the students on the stage. SSD Sabha president Parmod Mittal honoured the chief guest. Later, he presented trophies and certificates to students.

Appreciating the efforts put in by staff for this function, SSD Sabha president Parmod Mittal announced 15-day bonus for the teachers and staff of the school.

SSD Balgopal Playway School principal Neha Goyal welcomed the guests and presented the annual report of the school. The function ended with the national anthem.
