Inter-college contests conclude

BATHINDA: On the second and final day of inter-college competitions that were held on the college campus, students of Bhai Asa Singh Girls College, Goniana Mandi, participated in poetry recitation, costume exhibition, speech, giddha and gentle arts competitions.

On the second and final day of inter-college competitions that were held on the college campus, students of Bhai Asa Singh Girls College, Goniana Mandi, participated in poetry recitation, costume exhibition, speech, giddha and gentle arts competitions.

The programme commenced with singing the words of the college students as per the tradition of the college. The principal of the college Dr Rajwinder Kaur welcomed the guests and participants. She also apprised the students of the importance of extra-curricular activities and motivated them to participate in such competitions.

Speech contests were conducted on first day. Prasad Yadav of SSD College of Education bagged the first position and the second position was secured by Anmol of SSD Girls College. The first place in the Wharf Exhibition was clinched by Hina, a student of SSA College of Education. The second place was won by Ravneet Kaur from SSD Girls College.

Prof Satish Grover, DAV College, Bathinda, Dr Kuljit Kaur, Regional Centre, Bathinda and Dr Simmerjit Kaur, SSD College, Bathinda were the jury members on the occasion.

Certificates were distributed among the winning students. The principal congratulated the winners.
