Inter-school youth fair organised

BATHINDA: Aiming to bring the present generation closer to their cultural and historical roots, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle today organised an inter-school youth fair at Guru Nanak Dev Senior Secondary School, Bathinda.

Aiming to bring the present generation closer to their cultural and historical roots, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle today organised an inter-school youth fair at Guru Nanak Dev Senior Secondary School, Bathinda. Almost 200 students from 30 schools of the district participated in various competitions at the fair.

In the Kavishri competition, Shri Guru Hargobind Public School Jaurkian bagged the first place. In poem recitation for the middle group Guru Nanak Dev Public School Bathinda bagged the first prize, while Government Senior Secondary School, Mann, bagged the first place in the secondary group of the competition.

In the turban tying competition, Hargursewak Singh bagged the first prize while Manpreet Singh won in the secondary group category. In the girls category, Dilpreet Kaur bagged the first place.

Six teams participated in the quiz competition based on the life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh. Baba Paramdas Girls Mahavidyalay team won the competition while the second place was bagged by Guru Nanak Dev Public Senior Secondary School. The third place was won by Little Flower Public School.

Apart from the students and staff members of the participating schools, Balwant Singh, Gurjinder Singh, Sukhchain Singh, Iqbal Singh, Surinderpal Singh, Atwar Singh, Jaideep Singh and Sukhdeep Singh of the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle were also present during the fair.

In the Kavishri competition, Shri Guru Hargobind Public School, Jaurkian, bagged the first place.
