AO Smith mulls expansion in India

Chandigarh: AO Smith Corporation is bullish on Indian water purifier segment and plans to increase its footprint. The company aims to garner a major share in the Rs 1,500-crore RO (Reverse Osmosis) water purifier segment. Parag Kulkarni, MD, AO Smith India, who was in the city on Thursday, said, “We have received good response for our water heaters. Buoyed by the response and in line with our commitment with the exceptional product offerings, we have launched RO water purifier and plan to launch nationally. Currently, we are present in 23 locations,” he said. TNS
