Counselling for sports quota seats on June 25

CHANDIGARH: The Sports Department, Punjabi University, Patiala, will conduct counselling against five each extra seats reserved for outstanding sportspersons in men’s and women’s categories on June 25.

The Sports Department, Punjabi University, Patiala, will conduct counselling against five each extra seats reserved for outstanding sportspersons in men’s and women’s categories on June 25.  

“The counselling against five-five extra seats reserved under outstanding sports category for men and women seeking admission to any class/course for the session 2018-19 in Punjabi University campus and its affiliated colleges, for all games included in the national sport calendar of the AIU, will be held on June 25 at 8.00 am in the university sports complex,” the university said in a statement today.   

All the players should carry their original educational and sports certificates along with attested photocopies to the venue, the statement added.  

“Selection will be done on the basis of past two years — 2016-17 and 2017-18 — performance/achievements of the interested players. If needed, trials can be taken on the spot,” the statement read.  

Selected players will be provided free admission, accommodation in hostels. They will also be provided sports kits.
