Ishan guides St Joseph’s to victory

CHANDIGARH:St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, defeated Vivek High School, Mohali, by 25 runs to enter the Sub-Junior Challenger Trophy final here on Monday.



Chandigarh, June 18 

St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, defeated Vivek High School, Mohali, by 25 runs to enter the Sub-Junior Challenger Trophy final here on Monday. 

Batting first, the hosts St Joseph’s scored 129/6 in 20 overs; Ishan Gaba leading the way with a 49-run innings.  

Tejas was the most successful bowler for Vivek High, claiming 3/12. 

In reply, the visitors were bowled out for 104 runs in 18.5 overs. Pranav Kaushal claimed 3/13, while Jasjot Singh bagged 2/19 for St Joseph’s. Lakshay (21) was the top scorer for Vivek High. 

In another match, Knowledge Bus School, Kharar, registered a five-wicket win over Lakshay XI, Pinjore. 

Batting first, Pinjore boys were all out for 90 runs in 18 overs. In reply, the Kharar School scampered home with five wickets to spare. Ronak made 38 runs. — TNS
