Mohali youth dies in Kullu paraglider crash

MANDI: A tourist from Mohali died while the pilot suffered injuries in a paraglider crash at Solang Valley in Kullu district today.

A tourist from Mohali died while the pilot suffered injuries in a paraglider crash at Solang Valley in Kullu district today.

The deceased has been identified as Amandeep Singh Sovti (24). The pilot, Ranveer Singh (32), is a resident of Barua village near Manali.

Amandeep Singh, a resident of Phase 2 in Mohali, had come with a friend.

It is learnt that the pilot lost control of the paraglider and it came crashing down. While the mishap proved fatal for Amandeep, Ranveer was seriously wounded.

Kullu SP Shalini Agnihotri said the body would be handed over to the victim’s kin after autopsy.

A case has been registered.
