Over 1.27 lakh devotees throng Mansa Devi, Kali Mata temples

PANCHKULA: Over 1.27 lakh devotees paid obeisance at the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula and Kali Mata temple in Kalka on the seventh day of the Ashwin Navratra festival.

Over 1.27 lakh devotees paid obeisance at the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula and Kali Mata temple in Kalka on the seventh day of the Ashwin Navratra festival.

Speaker of the Haryana Assembly Kanwar Pal Gujjar, along with his family members paid obeisance at the Mansa Devi temple. Deputy Commissioner Mukul Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Dhanda, City Magistrate Mamta Sharma, CEO Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board SP Arora and Secretary Sharda Prajapati were among those present on the occasion.

Mukul Kumar, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Administrator of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, said: “A donation of Rs 11.85 lakh was received today taking the total to Rs 91.03 lakh donated till the seventh day of the Navratra festival at the Mansa Devi temple and the Kali Mata temple. Three items of gold and 155 items of silver were also donated at the temples.”

Mukul Kumar said 1.05 lakh devotees visited the Mansa Devi temple today and donated Rs 8.30 lakh and 3 items of gold and 131 items of silver. As many as 22,500 devotees paid obeisance at the Kali Mata temple and donated Rs 3.54 lakh and 24 items of silver.
